James Walker III, Executive Chairman and Board Member
Jim is the Managing Partner and Founder of Vinson Ventures, LLC, a boutique investment firm focused on building and growing early-stage companies by actively working with founders and management. Jim was recently CEO and Partner at Palm Ventures, LLC, a private investment firm in Greenwich, CT. At Palm, Jim led an investment in the consumer industry, in a digital technology company which was founded and incubated by Palm. Under Jim’s leadership, the company was sold at a substantial gain in a three-way merger in approximately one year. As a Board member, Jim was responsible for all strategy, building a top tier management team, and financing the company’s rapid growth. From 2008 through 2017, Jim was a Managing Partner of Fir Tree Partners, a top 50 global alternative asset management firm. Jim was a member of the firm’s Real Estate Investment Committee and Chairman of the firm’s Risk Committee. During Jim’s tenure, Fir Tree grew from $4.5 billion in assets under management to over $13 billion. As one of the firm’s Managing Partners, Jim was responsible for overall firm management, identifying new areas of investment opportunity, growing the firm’s global LP reach and building a team of talented leaders. Prior to joining Fir Tree, Jim was a co-founder and Managing Partner of Black Diamond Capital Management. Jim began his career in investment banking at Kidder, Peabody & Co. and Bear Stearns. Jim is the lead independent director for Starwood Real Estate Investment Trust and recently joined the board of Clarus Corporation.
Michael Margolies, Board Member and Investor
Michael is an accomplished financial industry veteran. In his early career, he was a limited partner at Oppenheimer & Co. In 1995, Mr. Margolies founded Avalon Research Group, Inc., a top-rated independent equity research firm with 100 hedge fund and mutual fund clients. Michael served as founder and CEO of Avalon Research Group until 2004, when he sold the company. Mr. Margolies has managed public and private equity investments for family office and individual accounts for some of the most prominent asset managers. In 2010, Mr Margolies founded Littlebanc, a multi-strategy family office that serves as his current investment platform.
Chris Sommers, Founder and Chief Technology Officer
Chris has worked in the financial industry for nearly 20 years. After graduating from Dartmouth College in 2003 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, he joined Salomon Smith Barney (acquired by Citigroup) in their mergers and acquisitions investment banking division. Later, he joined the consumer products and homebuilding industry group. In 2005, Chris joined Greenlight Capital, an investment management firm, as an investment analyst. Chris led some of the highest profile investments during his time at Greenlight, including Lehman Brothers, St. Joe and BioFuel Energy. Chris was a generalist responsible for investments across a diverse range of industries, including finance, insurance, consumer products, real estate, homebuilding, pharmaceutical devices, agriculture, energy, commodities, currencies, software, technology, and others. Later, he started his own investment firm.
Adam Isaacson, President
Adam joined IntellPro in 2022 and is responsible for overseeing and managing the company’s commercial operations, hiring top talent and building IntellPro into a market leading SaaS based company. Prior to IntellPro, Adam was a sales executive with Reorg Research, a Warburg Pincus portfolio company. During his tenure with Reorg, Adam was the top producer globally across Reorg’s New Business vertical devising and executing successful sales strategies across a broad client base which included hedge funds, private equity firms, financial advisors, law firms, and Fortune 500 companies. From 2011 to 2017, Adam was an analyst at Contrarian Capital Management, an investment management firm specializing in global distressed credit and event-driven equity. From 2005 to 2011, Adam was a portfolio manager and senior analyst at Old Hill Partners, an investment management firm specializing in structured products and specialty finance. Adam served as an Investment Committee member for Old Hill’s opportunistic asset-backed credit funds. Mr. Isaacson received a B.S. in Finance from Fairfield University’s Dolan School of Business.
Elizabeth Vlahos, Director of Client Success
Elizabeth joined IntellPro in 2022 and is responsible for leading the company’s Client Success team. Elizabeth is an experienced sales and customer success manager with more than 7 years of experience in the financial technology and research industry. Prior to joining IntellPro, Elizabeth was the Manager of Client Success at Canalyst Financial Modeling Corp., a SaaS-based provider of structured fundamental data to investment fund management teams. Prior to Canalyst, Elizabeth was a Senior Customer Success Manager at Sentieo, a financial and corporate research platform, where she was responsible for managing some of the firm’s largest relationships. Prior to Sentieo, Elizabeth worked at Bloomberg L.P. as an Advanced Specialist on the PORT team where she developed solutions for money managers, mutual funds, hedge funds, and pension funds. Elizabeth started her career as an Implementation and Onboarding Specialist for Eze Software, a provider of trade order management and execution and portfolio accounting solutions. Elizabeth received a B.S. in Molecular Biology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
